Axiom Math says it has fully formalized the Classification of Finite Simple Groups in Lean, converting roughly 15,000 pages of proof into about 43.1 million lines of Lean in 24 days using swarms of AI agents. The Classification is one of mathematics' most notorious achievements — a proof so long and distributed across so many papers that verifying its completeness has been a decades-long project in itself. A second roundup confirmed the formalization was "produced in about 24 days with AI agent swarms".
