The company released Claude Haiku 5.5, which @venturesintern described as the "fastest/cheapest small model" with "~75–90% price cuts vs prior Haiku." The magnitude of the cut is the story. A model that costs a fraction of its predecessor changes which applications are economically viable, especially for agentic systems that make thousands of model calls per task.
