OpenAI Says 10,000 Agents Cracked a Navier-Stokes Problem Over 88 Hours — Mathematicians Want Proof
An internal OpenAI model reportedly proved a finite-time singularity result using around 10,000 coordinating agents at a cost near $22.5 million — and a credit dispute is already brewing.
OpenAI is claiming a research-scale mathematical result, and the way it got there is as notable as the result itself. According to @KenAdamsGB, an internal model solved a Navier-Stokes problem using roughly 10,000 AI agents coordinating over about 88 hours. The claim was echoed by @DreyXAI, who described the same scale — thousands of agents working in concert on a single hard problem.
