Seoul reportedly intends to provide every citizen with a personal AI agent that can make reservations and payments on their behalf — the largest consumer agent deployment yet proposed by a government.
The most consequential agent rollout this week may not come from a lab at all. According to @theagenticdaily, South Korea plans to give every citizen free access to an AI agent by the end of the year — one capable of making reservations and, notably, payments on the user's behalf. If that timeline holds, it would be the largest population-scale deployment of autonomous, transaction-capable agents ever attempted.
