Kitematic Raises $65M to Make Running Open Models Local and Boring

The Series B backs tooling to run open-source models locally in tandem with Ollama, betting that not everything belongs in someone else's cloud.

Kitematic's founders closed a $65M Series B to help developers run open-source AI models locally, working alongside Ollama, per @shua_scott. The thesis is that a meaningful share of AI workloads should run on hardware the user controls — for privacy, cost, latency, or regulatory reasons — and that the tooling to make that painless is still immature.
