Kitematic's founders closed a $65M Series B to help developers run open-source AI models locally, working alongside Ollama, per @shua_scott. The thesis is that a meaningful share of AI workloads should run on hardware the user controls — for privacy, cost, latency, or regulatory reasons — and that the tooling to make that painless is still immature.
