Machine learning applied to NASA's TESS telescope data has surfaced more than 10,000 previously undetected exoplanet candidates, a volume that would have taken human astronomers years to identify.

Scientists have used machine learning to identify over 10,000 new exoplanet candidates in data from NASA's Transiting Exoplanet Survey Satellite (TESS), as @SciTechera reported. The candidates were hidden in the noise of TESS's photometric data — subtle dips in starlight that human analysts missed or deprioritized.
