Open-Source Community Races to Clone Claude Opus 4.7 and Mythos — Two Projects Ship in One Weekend

OpenMythos and OpenClaude v0.4 both dropped this weekend, attempting open-source reconstructions of Anthropic's most capable models. The speed of replication is accelerating.

Two separate open-source projects shipped over the weekend with the same target: replicate Anthropic's frontier capabilities and make them freely available. @KyeGomezB announced OpenMythos, an open-source reconstruction of Claude Mythos, which went viral on X. Separately, @RoundtableSpace reported that OpenClaude v0.4 dropped as an open-source Claude Code alternative.
