Google AI Studio Adds Tab-Autocomplete for Prompts

A small UX change with big implications: Google's prompt interface now expands ideas with successive tab presses, turning prompt engineering into something closer to IDE autocomplete.

Google AI Studio has shipped a prompt-box autocomplete feature that lets users hit tab repeatedly to expand and refine their ideas, as announced by @GoogleAIStudio. The framing — "writer's block happens to everyone" — positions this as a creativity aid, but the underlying UX pattern is borrowed directly from code editors: tab-completion as a way to reduce friction between intention and expression.
