The issue was first flagged prominently by Japanese users, with @__ShimoRin__ reporting that Gemini was "broken" and "spitting out personal information of strangers." Developer @BenjaminDEKR confirmed from the English-language side that "system instructions appear to be leaking," suggesting the problem was not localized to one language or region.
