Perle Labs' Human CAPTCHA Series Highlights the Vanishing Line Between Real and AI-Generated Images

An ongoing challenge series from Perle Labs asks humans to distinguish real photographs from AI-generated ones — and the results suggest we're losing the ability to tell the difference.

Perle Labs published the sixth installment of its "Human CAPTCHA" series Thursday, presenting two sports car photographs — one real, one AI-generated — and asking followers to identify which is which. As @PerleLabs posted, the challenge drew heavy engagement, with replies split roughly evenly between the two options.
