Agent Lightning Applies Reinforcement Learning to Existing AI Agents

A new framework lets developers apply RL to agents they've already built, while AgentCommand ships a dashboard for managing agents-that-manage-agents — signs the agent infrastructure layer is maturing fast.

Two new tools dropped this week that address different parts of the agent production stack. @techNmak highlighted Agent Lightning, a framework that applies reinforcement learning to existing agents — meaning developers can take an agent they've already built and iteratively improve its decision-making through RL without rebuilding from scratch. This is significant because most agent builders today rely on prompt engineering and chain-of-thought scaffolding; adding a learning loop on top could meaningfully improve agent reliability over time.
