Time spent on X and new follows are both up over 20% since xAI rebuilt the platform's recommendation algorithm from scratch, according to @cb_doge. The claim, posted without sourcing beyond what appears to be insider knowledge, coincides with the one-year anniversary of the standalone Grok app, which @XFreeze noted has reached tens of millions of downloads since its January 2025 launch. @elonmusk marked the occasion with a characteristically terse post: "It's only been 1 year since the Grok app launched."
